BQH is owned by Landon and Cindy Backus of Alcoa, Tennessee.

Since 1992 BQH has put great pride in breeding and raising quality
quarter horses and paints for performance horse events. BQH is home to
Futurity Champions, QH Congress Top Ten, NRHA money earners and AQHA
point earners. BQH brood mares are performers whom are bred to some
of the finest reining stallions in the industry. BQH is excited to offer
many exceptional prospects to those looking for a futurity or derby
horse. BQH also has several finished reiners for sale for the green
rider, rookie, non pro or open classes.

BQH will stand Dels Dandy Rooster to the public in 2010. The 2005
AQHA sorrel stallion is by Gallo Del Cielo "Rooster". Dels Dandy Rooster
is a NRHA Futurity Finalist in Limited Open, TNRHA Futurity winner,
VBC Derby Reserve Champion, Smoky Mountain Reins Derby Reserve Champion and finalist at the Carolina Classic Derby. 2010 Introductory fee is $800 which includes chute fee. Contact Backus Quarter Horses for more
